The Duchess of an Icy Fate (1)

Present Day

Let's say it is the year 2010. And let's say that there have been rumors of a killer on the loose. A killer that freezes her victims and in some way that keeps them alive and encased in ice. An unbreakable ice. So eventually the victim dies a slow and cold death by hypothermia.
Rumor around town says that this killer calls herself "Icy Fate", which makes sense. And it is said in the newspaper that she works for some secret origination that is against our current government. But this is all that the public knows. At least until five this afternoon. Everyone is sitting by their computers, radios, and TVs, waiting for the update on this "Icy Fate" killer chick.
The clocks chimes five and the computers, radios, and TVs come to life.

"This is Robert Smith here, reporting on channel three news.
Just in, an update on the mysterious "Icy Fate" killer: Five men, all with government jobs, were found dead this morning in their offices. Each frozen just as all the previous victims of the Icy Fate. On the floor the words "Icy Fate" were written in ice. It is still unknown how the Icy Fate does this. Does she use machinery or is she some kind of monster? And why is she working for this secret organization, and what do they have against the government? Why does this organization remain a mystery? And Why did she let herself be seen? We'll find out, after this break. Robert Smith, channel three news."

Were the words of the TV reporter. Pictures flashed across the screens. People gasped, fainted, and the children's eyes were shielded. A picture from a security camera showed the face of the killer. Her hair was snow-white and was up in two big pony-tails. Her skin was quite pale, almost as white as her hair. But the scariest thing about her was her eyes and the expression on her lips. Her eyes were a sharp icy blue and seemed to glow with malice. And her lips were twisted in an evil smile that could give any person nightmares for months. These images came up on the computer to, with the same video of the reporter. The radios conveyed a similar message, telling the listeners to check online for the pictures.
Panic spread like a disease. Everyone was scared that they might be the next to be killed, even though all evidence showed that the Icy Fate only targeted government employers. The police tried to enforce a calm but it did not work. People ran around screaming, terror in their eyes. Chaos was everywhere. And somewhere deep underground, someone laughed menacingly. A woman. The Icy Fate.
